Night bowls
Tuesday and Thursday night bowls 2024/25
With the arrival of daylight saving time we shall re-commence our Tuesday/Thursday evening bowls sessions. From October 15 Ron Slager will run sessions for casual/social bowls every Tuesday evening, 6pm for 6:30 start. This is open to all, whether club members who want some extra practice or members of the public who would like to try their hand at lawn bowls - there is no commitment to turn up every week.
From October 17 our long-running Triples competition will return for another season. This involves making a commitment for the whole summer – triples teams play for points during the minor round and the top four play off in the finals. Non-members will need to join the club to be able to play.
We need someone to organise this competition. In the meantime see Steve Attridge to register your team or for more details.

Night bowls was introduced as a means of gaining potential new members to the club and also as a form of revenue raising.
The concept was formulated along the lines of a member’s experience at a country club many years before.
Continuous participation gives an indication of the events popularity among social bowlers.
Night bowls is run through the warmer months (Octoberber to March) on Tuesday nights
Night Bowls continues with regular games on Tuesday nights
from 6 pm when the Bar will be open until 9pm,with great lighting and covered greens, with a friendly informal atmosphere. Everyone is welcome to come and have a go with
Teams formed on the night ( depending on numbers )
single entries of any gender and families are all welcome to participate.

Social Night Bowls is predominantly the first stage for any lawn bowler,
played Tuesday nights, under lights at our Club.
You may find our club, is just around the corner.
Not only does Night Bowls give family and friends of all ages ,
the chance to play semi competitively in a fun social atmosphere,
Night Bowls also is a cheap and affordable source of exercise,
is there any other sport where you can participate bare foot?
There probably is!
But will that sport also allow you to enjoy the company of mates
while basking in the beautiful conditions that a South Australian summer night brings us.
We cater for all ages and families.
6.00PM FOR A PRACTISE ROLL-UP
READY FOR Games to start at 6.30 pm and finish around 9.00 pm
The very reasonable cost of $8 per player includes a nibbles supper.
The Club, if needed, provides loan bowls and coaching.
All we ask Is you wear FLAT-SOLED SHOES ,as this is "NECESSARY"
So come and start bowling in a great friendly atmosphere, YOU’LL LOVE IT!
Remember, bowls is no longer a sport for just the older generation
